Canadian Isabelle Gervais uses etching as her main mode of production. Also known as intaglio, etching was once one of the only ways to reproduce art. Each etching is a unique and original piece of work. Isabelle uses extremely vibrant colours for her subjects. Holding a Masters in Design from the Royal College of Art, Gervais has been a sessional lecturer at the Undergraduate Design Program, Emily Carr University, since 2003. Recognized in national and international competitions, Gervais is famous in the contemporary art scene.
