Born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1960, Suren Voskanian still resides there. He studied under P Trelemezian at the Art College (1983) and at the Yeveran Institute of Art and Theatre (1993). His beautifully composed canvasses boast of stylized, nude figures amidst colorful abstract interiors. Beautiful, lustful women abound in an environment where reality and illusions are encased in amusing unanimity as an aesthetical desire. Color sensitivity and variegation fashion a vivacious and colorful world full of priestesses, in which Voskanian lives out his visions away from daily weariness and human savageness. Okapi WAG has this piece of art on display in the gallery.
