Inna Olshansky explored many different mediums and techniques prior to choosing to specialize in clay and oil paint. After obtaining a degree in ceramics, she developed her own technique, while at the same time, continuing to demonstrate a broad free style.
Her working process is very intuitive. She starts her artworks on raw concepts and as the artworks take their shape, her vision for their design becomes clear to her. Olshansky can be quoted as saying:”My way of working is to be guided by my instincts and to let the flow of ideas take me where they will”. She further explains that the evolution of ideas, shapes, forms, technical challenges, and design elements constantly circulate through her mind until connections start to be made and the art comes though.
