Viaceslavas Gibovskis was born on 23rd of November,1960 in Klaipėda, Lithuania. From 1981-1985 he studied in Art College. Later he worked at the Kaunas Glass factory “Aleksotas” from 1988 as a glass blower-artist. Gibovskis created many unique glass wares and won various prizes from different kinds of associations and art bodies. Some of his glass creations were published in Lithuanian Glass books and newspapers as well as exhibited in various expositions and art salons. His works were also exposed in exhibitions in Germany, Denmark, Russia and Lithuania. Some of his works are part of Museum collections in Eastern Europe. Gibovskis’ creations are very multifaceted. They include diverse themes and highly colored art-works, but it is clear that the charm of his sculptures are their incredibly beneficent and sweet temper. Elfin features of faces, which he awards his glass tale characters beam with tenderness, seem flirtatious with childish naiveties.
